I'm tired of hearing seekers & teachers PROCLAIMING they are LIVING IN THE PRESENT! As if that's a great spiritual feat! Honestly it's RIDICULOUS! Your are ALWAYS in the present. Where else could you Be? Your body is HERE. Your breath is HERE & even your thoughts (of past & future are HERE, IN THE PRESENT. These stupid "spiritual concepts" are what's keeping you longing & whining for 'this illusory present".

The mind is ALWAYS IN THE PRESENT MOMENT....EVEN when it thinks about the past or present. This CONCEPT that you are not in the present is so bogus and causes suffering in seekers, who are always "looking" for the present moment.

UNFORTUNATELY, there's an infinite amount of reasons for misery, to go around!

If we would just ACCEPT that the mind goes backwards and forwards and upside down - and realize that we are NOT our thoughts, then we could more readily fall into that PEACEFUL/SPACE that is our NATURE, when we are overwhelmed by thoughts & feelings.

The TRICK, is to accept life as it shows up...fighting it just doesn't work (although we do feel like we're getting somewhere when we are doing something).

From my perspective, as soon as you wake up and the thought hits you, "here I am", your suffering begins.

Yoga, meditation, chanting, chocolate and all kinds of drugs...do help for a little while------but then there it is again that THOUGHT: "I'M HERE A AGAIN" and the suffering/ecstasy of ourselves and others, begins all over again.

We can sugar coat our existence any way we want. We can praise the Gods and praise the Gurus and praise WHATEVER...and thennnnnnnnn: You wake up in the morning and there's that thought again: "HERE I AM" and the world and all it's misery/joy opens up to you again.

From my perspective NOTHING WORKS. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WORKS. All the yagyas, all the kriyas, all the pujas, all the positive crap, all the prayers, all the hopes. NOTHING, AND I MEAN NOTHING MAKES LIFE GO YOUR WAY, UNLESS IT HAPPENS TO BE GOING YOUR WAY anyway. Bottom line, it's NOT YOUR LILA. It's THE LILA.

Check out your greatest Saints and all their powers. Ramana Maharishi, Jesus, whomever....NOT ONE OF THEM could bring peace on earth with all their prayers, and siddhis and "high vibrations". They died, did what they did, continue to do what they do without their bodies and STILL LIFE IS SUFFERING/BLISS - Together.

Try it yourself. Listen to some bhajans before you go to sleep, feel the bliss. Wake up and then your world begins with: 'Here I am again and you're still in bliss. Then you get the phone call that your son was just killed, or you're losing your house, or the doctor calls you in for more test, or you even get the flue - and NOW, life is SUFFERING again.

All this new age Yapping about how life is a CELEBRATION, ONE CONSTANT HAPPY BLISSFUL MOMENT is completely ridiculous, just words. Yes! Sometimes it is and sometimes it isn't and most of the time it isn't.

LIFE IS WHAT IT IS - and our best bet is to continue our spiritual programs and WONDER AT THE MYSTERY and VAST enigma OF IT ALL....cause honestly, it's ASTOUNDINGLY, miraculously CRAZY FROM ANY PERSPECTIVE - HERE & NOW IN THE PRESENT MOMENT.

There are a trillion answers to all these "why & how questions that contstantly come up when we don't accept our life as it shows up. AND each answer leads to more unsatisfying answers. Turns into al big brain MESS.

Dvorahji, you can not say that the exercises doesnt work or Kryia , or mediation.
Yes some how everything has is owen imperfections like everything else.
Yet they have some perfections, and the effort on doing the exercises or kryia or the meditation, brings or help to bring the ''perfection" or some perfections on his or her owen lifes.

@Erjet...is not that practices don't work.....anything can work and does actually.......It's just that NOTHING WORKS PERMANENTLY. EVERYTHING COMES & GOES.
Only your NATURE does NOT come & go. THAT IS.

perfection is an illusion/ever changing. And it comes & goes like everything else. (that doesn't mean you don't strive for it, like people strive to do a perfect tennis game) but perfection is fleeting like EVERYTHING ELSE.
